I have this dream, where I fall into the Muskingum(sp?) River , and I am carried along in the current. Some woman who is my mother in the dream (but not my real mother) is running along th bank, trying to catch up to me, but she's just too slow. After who knows how long of this, I finally start sinking under the surface. When I hit the bottom, everything is brown (the Muskingum was a very muddy river last time I looked- 12 years ago...It might be cleaner now?) Anyhoo- I hit the bottom, and I wake up. I've been having this dream since I was a little girl....along with tons and tons of dreams that actually happen. I'm not afraid of it or anything, I love the water, but I wonder: Is this how I'm going to die?
What are your feelings in the dream? Are you really scared, struggling, or fatalistic and calm? Maybe it's just a place you end up in all the time in life, like a depression, or overwhelming emotion. The mother in the dream could be like a spirit guide person or even yourself trying in vain to keep you safe.
