Most of my adult life I have believed that my dad is or was a CIA agent or some sort of government agent. Here's my evidence:

    1. My dad use to be a Freemason. For upwards of 25 years. With all the bells and whistle. He even taught me some of the sayings and phrases. "How old is your grandmother?"

    2. He works on government aircraft. He worked for a company called Lockheed Martin. They repair large bombers and carrier planes.

    3. He has a very high security clearance to work on some of the top secret planes. Higher than just about everyone.

    4. The land my parents on may be on top of a bomb bunker! It wouldn't surprise me, the way the land is set up on a hill.

    5. He use to go on 3 month long trips out of the country. Japan, Seattle, Germany. He was also considering trips to South Korea at one point.

    6. When I ask my parents about it they laugh and say "why would you think that." Which means I'm either on to something or I'm paranoid!

So... yeah! My dad's a super CIA agent!

Seattle is in the States wtf?

Lockheed Martin is just a super plush company to work for. Military planes always need upgrading and shits.

Thanks Captain Obvious! I meant the other places were over seas! Gah - gotta remember to be clear, or else the littlest thing is harped on.

And yea. Meet The Fockers is exactly what I'm talking about! That's not what started me thinking this, but is really similar!

Don't think I've seen the other movie mentioned.

Military planes generally will start with lots of secret shit, and some of it will stay secret for a long time, even into service...... Remember the blackbirds? EVEN the soviets didn't know much about it, and stalin knew about the bomb before truman.... so that's seriously saying something.

Yes, the CIA works with them, but just having clearances doesn't make you an agent.

I know nothing about how they work, but I expect the important agents have NO clearances, their names are only on like two lists, there's just about no real, official record of where they are.... remember, the CIA is the american flavor of the KGB -- it's the people who are NOT really involved, who need the clearances and who have records on them.

Also, if he was really a CIA agent, you'd be the world's worst daughter..... and even as it is, you could be endangering him. And freemasonry has nothing to do with anything. Basically a big joke..... A secret club for grown men who are too fat to put their clubhouse in a tree. And if he'd tell you anything about it, or even let you or anyone else know that he is one, he'd be a pretty shitty agent, I'm pretty sure.

i dunno if this is just The security service over here, but i'm pretty sure that an "agent" is just an informer, "spies" are intelligence officers. but its still a fairly vaguely defined role in a lot of cases, most people involved in a "spy network" certainly wouldn't think of themselves as being spies, probably wouldnt even know where the information that they collected was going or why they were being asked to do whatever it is. more than likely what they were being asked to do would appear to be so inconsequential that they would have no idea that it could ever be of value. its all a bit less "james bond" and a bit more "kafka-esque clusterfuck" they say people like john le carre and ian fleming wrote such great spy novels, not because they had such great insight, but because their jobs were so intensely dull (and they had such a vague understanding of what they were doin anyway) that they needed to fill the days with something :)

more than likely, if he works on experimental shit for the military, your dad has some dealings with the CIA, but likelier still, is that his life is more like office space than mission impossible.

    Haha. Probably!

I'm not saying that he's knee deep these days, but maybe when he was younger.
Just my conspiracy theory for my family! Thought I'd share.

there are more spook shops then there are countries, and possibly those of countries on other worlds all getting in on the act. then there's organized crime operations at verious levels of complexity getting in on the act too. so yes, you really never know who has what to do with which. spooks who are good at it, know how to manipulate unsuspecting assets into doing their legwork too. anyone, even you or me or anyone, could be engaged in this without ever having the slightest idea that we are.
