my dad is forbidding me to go to court

So I had an accident almost a year ago.. here in Spain.. I was in insane traffic in the city, on a Saturday afternoon around 5, and got blinded by the sun and paniqued for a second and hit the brake my foot slipped, cause I got panicky. Anyways I hit this car, and that car hit the car in front of them. My car got nothing, the car in front of me shit, but the third car got destroyed. NOT my fucking fault. Anyways, they were retarded xenophobic cunts, who totally yelled at me and threw nonsense at me cause.. well a lot of Meditarenean people get like that, not to generalize, but, it's true. I just rolled my eyes the whole time without responding, which of course tends to drive people around me nuts, cause they want me to get pissed, but the things is, they're pathetic, only.. when she called me a fucking "franchute" - xenophobic insult against the French - and one of them spit on the ground, I grabbed by friend's cell phone and hit the **** with it. Then a guard came and stopped her from hitting me but she was gonna push me. Anyways, to make a long story short, my parents came, the cops came, whatever, it got settled, my dad told me to shut my face and he took care of everything..

Almost a year later, I get this telegraph in the mail - I gotta go to court - WAY after the insurances dealt with each other etc. (WE WON too) Why? The **** I hit is pressing charges against me for "violence" hahahaha.. Anyways, my dad is not letting me go. He doesn't trust my reaction, he says he's going, and will take care of everything, say I'm in the U.S.

Yep.. my dad is very wise, he thinks I'm too young too deal with shit like that. And it's true. My dad - AND THE COP - understood my reaction but he said I would have been older I would have kept my self-control.

No I guess I just feel like this whole pressing charges against me for hitting her on her wrist my a cell phone is pretty dumb. I'd have been an old fart her age and really hurt her, and it would have been within the week.. maybe. But this is ridiculous.

The moment I hit her, was to defend myself.. she was coming to push me, why? Cause I was rolling my eyes at her, and then she became xenophobic, came to push me, and my friend was right there watching the scene with her cell in her hand, I just grabbed it and it her wrist. Then when she came to push me more, she got stopped by the guard. That woman must be.. 45-50. It's really sad.

I still don't understand how the accident isn't your fault. even if you didn't mean to do it from what you said you hit the car which hit the other car. part of why they're called accidents. unless they ran a light or a sign or something. and even if you did hit her because she was coming to hit you you struck first. not saying you weren't being accosted but if you were in one of the other two cars would it your your fault because somebody hit you from behind? i imagine you'd be pissed too.
