fucking bastard machine...oh well, duct tape, paper clips and bandaids only work for so long...luckily ill be back up and running in a couple few days...gots a differant machine in the works...

You can make damn near any computer fine again with different parts. New board, cpu, ram, hd, ect. The case is just a shell.

 

part of the problem was the motherboard i had was wierd...the IDE chain was incredibly ass-backwards...and my power supply was very tired...i dont think my HD was getting sufficient power...i checked to make sure the caps werent bulging near the processor...that was fine...alot of old stuff though...

 

Man I have so many loose parts in drawers, if you were closer you could have a ball.

yea, the laptop took a spill last night...now the screen is a bit messed up...all the colors are whacked. it may be just the screen...everything else seems fine. graphics are messed up and i no likey

 

do you have a warranty?
if not, you're pretty much fucked...

 

Simple test, hook the laptop video (15 pin looking port likely blue in color) to a monitor. If it works its just the LCD video.

If the monitor you hook up to that port looks fine then video on laptop is good its would then just be an issue with the LCD
