his fleas are REALLY bad! I cant afford frontline for him right now but I do have some left from when I got it for my dog. I got the one that is for dogs 20-40lbs and so I broke one of them open and used just a teeny bit on my cat the other week (since he is only just over 10lbs) but I checked him again and his fleas are still all over! So I still have what is left of the stuff (about a little over half of what comes in one) and I want to use the rest on him but I am wondering if that will harm him at all. I mean, what is the difference between frontline for dogs and for cats? I know the weight thing but other than that....????......so do you think it will hurt him if I use the rest on him? help:( thanks

"I just applied FRONTLINE, but I still see active fleas. Why?
Fipronil, an active ingredient of FRONTLINE, works by blocking stabilizing ions in the neurons of invertebrates like fleas. Without the stabilizing ions, the fleas die from hyperstimulation. This means that the fleas may become slightly more active just before they die. However, you should rest assured that this is a sign that FRONTLINE is working.

Which FRONTLINE product is right for my pet?
FRONTLINE flea and tick control is available in three formulations to make it easy for you to provide your pet with the best protection. When compared to other products, FRONTLINE Plus is simply the best flea and tick control product for dogs and cats. FRONTLINE Plus is a convenient once-a-month topical product offering the longest-lasting, most complete protection against adult fleas, flea eggs and larvae, and all four major species of ticks. FRONTLINE Top Spot® provides fast-acting, long-lasting flea and tick control for dogs and cats. And FRONTLINE Spray offers quick elimination of existing flea and tick infestations. Ask your veterinarian which FRONTLINE product is the best choice for your pet.

Can FRONTLINE be used on pets other than dogs and cats?
No. FRONTLINE is intended for use on dogs and cats only. Do not use on other animals."

thanks:) that gives me some hope that it will end up working. But like I said, I only applied just a TEENY bit. Since it was really the frontline for dogs I was afraid to apply the whole thing (since he is only 10lbs) but I want to apply the rest on him.....do you think that would be ok?
