My brother's marijuana fable

My brother is a pretty experienced smoker but the other day he told me the most far out "side effect" from tokign the green stuff. Basically he has a female friend who has....this is rather unattractive..... who started getting slight facial hair. He claims it is from smoking for so many years. I told him it was rediculous , I dont see how the thc effects hair growth. I've heard of cases where people break out (acne) but never facial fuzz.

Has anyone ever heard of this? or has concrete info so i can properly counter his claims?

hmm... well, i cant help you with the facial hair thing, but yeah, i've heard the acne thing too...

but with the facial hair, maybe its just that no one noticed it till the chick was that far along the road... she prolly had it since she hit puberty....

btw, ladies, please check your upper lip for thick peach fuzz... its super un-attractive..

 

no shit, they told us that in health class, that smoking ganj makes females grow hair. so maybe everythign they taught you in high school isnt bullshit, just most of it. Its because it increases hormones or some shit like that.

 

Never heard about that. I do know that when I do smoke, almost all acne seems to dissapear. It's strange. I wish people would respect it instead of fearing it... it helps with a lot of health issues and it helps with stress and anxiety... If people stay away from research, it just makes them ignorant.

 

omg are you serious?! so this isn;t ignorant babble afterall? christ ..... I have never seen any strange hair growth on me and I've been smoking for years now. That's horrible, i want to look this up, I wouldn't want to gradually grow a beard from the THC hahahaha man what a creepy thing to learn

I never heard anything like this, and don't put much stock in it. My own sister thought smoking weed would shrink a man's penis. Thank god that's not true!There's so many stupid rumors out there, this sounds like just another one.

Marijuana *may* have a slight hormonal impact, but if anything, I've heard it is a feminizing influence. So I don't see how it would make facial hair grow.

The question is, how old is this female friend of your bro's, how long has she been smoking, and when did she hit puberty? The way I see it, it's more likely to be a puberty thing, and not a weed thing.

 

Weed is usually demonized for supposedly decreasing MALE horomone. In the early days of marijuana prohibition, they made it seem as though it turns boys into women. Even today, this still persists; my dad tried to tell me that marijuana creates a chemical similar to female horomone and "can make men grow breasts". I have yet to meet a male smoker with breasts.

I'd say both are complete bullshit. You know, some women are naturally "special" like that. . .

 

I think older women start sprouting whiskers sometimes. If she's young then it could be from puberty, or it could just be in her genes. Just because she smoked marijuana and grew some hair doesn't mean the marijuana caused the hair to grow.

Police used to tell us in elementary school that marijuana would kill 50% of your sperm after the first toke. They also told a buddy's class that it would slowly turn men into women, cause them to grow breasts and penis shrink away etc. They used to say people who experimented would be at higher risk of being sexually active until they figured out that was encouragment and not a deterrent.

And in the fifties and sixties they used to say it would turn you insane and kill a whole bunch of people. If you believe any of these scare tactics then I've got a bridge to sell you.

 

Women sometimes grow a bit of fuzz on their faces with age. I don't belive that this girl developed any facial hair because of smoking marijuana.

 

Some bitches grow hair on their face. Is she Italian? Not that it's just Italians either. If she's not, don't take that as a sign that it's weed and not simple nature...

 

well as said ive only heard of it feminising, not masculinising.

also, on the whole, the stoners i know have better skin than those who dont smoke.

at any rate, i dont think ive ever smoked with someone who had bad acne. or chicks who had facial hair.

 

whats so unnatractive about facial hair... i mean its not like it gets in the way of anything...try dying it an interesting colour or braiding it... might help the attraction thing

 

maybe they just say it because old hippie chicks tend to be hairy anyways.
