My husband got his first travel assignment and so we're leaving San Diego for the Bay Area this Saturday. I quit my part time job and can just focus on doing massage and enjoying life. We are getting our rent, car and bills paid for so no money worries! He has this assignment until mid-September and then we are on to the next spot! I'm sorry for rambling I'm just so excited!
Does anyone live in the Bay area? We are getting there just in time to go to the Haight Street Fair. I've never been and wonder if anybody here has gone?

Thank you both for your responses. We'll be traveling until we get sick of it or until we save up enough money to buy a house. I'm really excited to go to San Fran first. We love it up there! Both my brother and his boyfriend and my sister live up there. Anyway I'm sure we'll have fun!
hey i live in the bay area! but where i live sucks i live by like san jose (boring). howweeever, san fransisco is really cool even tho i never get a chance to go there and hang out cuz i dont have car, its only an hour away from where i live!! hey whens the haight fair? i WANNA GOOOO! p.s u shud go to hang out in Santa Cruz too, its resally laidback and alot of hip people/places there. there are also some nude beaches around there! woo but i never been 2 them either...even tho i want 2.
Who the heck are you talking about? Anyway, to everyone else....I am now officially in the Bay Area. We are actually living in Oakland hills and it's really quiet and peaceful where we live but we are close to a freeway so it's like 10 minutes to get anywhere (without traffic). My husbands job is in Berkeley so we spent some time hanging out there yesterday (didn't end up going to the Haight Fair...oh well) but Berkeley was fun. Yeah, I've been to Santa Cruz before but it's been like 4 years. I do love it though and now that we are pretty close we'll probably go. My husband likes to surf so he wants to go there.

sounds like a good deal Lotus. I live in Santa Cruz but if I could, and if I wasn't getting ready to leave the area, I'd move to San Fran.
I'm just getting back on the road. I do it every summer. No telling where I'll wind up for the winter (hopefully Hawaii this year). Santa Cruz is like the circus; It's a lot of fun to go see but if you live here the clowns can really get on your nerves.
