I mean come on now... he has to start paying his way a little and stop being so lazy and... toddler like. Geez.
I mean, he thinks he's doing enough by putting his cups and stuff in the sink and putting away his toys and books and helping me by doing stuff like...going to grab his shoes before we leave?
It's about time he goes and starts helping with the dishes in a kitchen or cleaning up a pre school or picking apples of something.

have you tried hitting the kid?

there is a window of time where hittinga kid actually gets them to get off there ass...in my experience the window closes at age 11

Gee he is 2 years old, what is wrong with you?
Kids should be care free and not work.

@ rolling- No, I've just taken away his cell phone and his computer privileges. Shouldn't he at least been picking apples for change or something before he turned two?

@ BM (haha BM... lolz)- what you talkin? toddlers need to be working china style to make t-shirts for walmart customers.

I believe the concept of Parody was already explained to you in another similar thread.

I got rid of his cell last month and took away his comp. privs. last week... also I got rid of his leaptop. And he's still being lazy and refusing to work. Next I guess I'll take away his crayon privileges.

Better be safe than sorry, I would hate to see parents force their 2-year olds to do labour. Except when they are Asian, somehow Asian kids like to work in sweatshops at very young ages.

Maybe I need to get him some Asian friends? A good influence?

Whatever you do, don't get him an Asian girlfriend. His money is all they are after.

This is where the cycle starts at this age. It is time to take parenting seriously and give that child a proper upbringing.

At that age mine were in ankle biters. They tried to make it sound like a play group but it was actually boot camp for lazy kids. Did wonders until they tried to bite me and then I sent them away to learn some manners.

That was 15 years ago and to date they have still not returned. ;)

    You fail as a parent!

Make him get a job at Wal Mart or have him slang dope on the street with all the other 2 yr olds.

This is a perfect example. A plastic one!

He needs to get real life experience, you need to get him a full on riding lawn mower. Then you can hire him out to do lawns and keep his wages. :)

You sure do talk about your kid a lot, Lucky. Lol
Certainly you just love being a mother and this has brought you a deeper sense of meaning in your life, but you don't want to end up living vicariously.. Perhaps that was unwarranted, I can only gather anything from your posting style as I haven't seen you in person for years now. Just a suggestion of something to be conscious of.

Yeah, I've been thinking it is about time my 8 month old earns his keep. How long is he going to keep using my boobies for his selfish needs?

It is time he starts to be told that he can not be a drain on you or society for the rest of his life.

You do not want to be one of those mom's who has to go to University
with him as he is still nursing. :)
