i'm sitting here listening to happy hardcore and smoking salvia to threshold affects (it's been a while and i'm a little nervous, want to ease into it) and it's like this music IS salvia. it's digital, repetitive, alien, grinding (the best word i can think to describe it), and almost scary in an epic way. with entities repeating themselves over and over . haha. salvia = happy hardcore land.
i remember one salvia trip i had i was listening to pigs by pink floyd, when the second guitar solo began i could actually see the music, it was kind of like a heart monitor on the ceiling, spiking and dancing to the sounds. then my room became a vast landscape, as if i were sitting on a very tall tower with an incredible view of the lands below. it was amazing
i think it's silly when people only do salvia in silence. music is such a crazy experience. you never know how it's going to affect you. your favorite song might be obnoxious or terrifying, and britney spears might bring on a cosmic epiphany. actually, i bet she would. especially, like, toxic. i'm totally listening to toxic next time i trip.
the third time i ever did salvia i had a really intense trip. i was listening to bob marley's iron lion zion, and i tripped i was on half of a bus and i was waiting for the other half of the bus to come so that we could leave, but we were already going. it was really mind opening, its like my brain was trying to tell me that im always waiting for something to happen, when really things are already happening and need to embrace them. anyways when i was coming down from my trip i was "like wat song was a listening to, row row row your bus?" and all my friends just looked at me and laughed. it was one of those "what the fuck" moments.
i have never even considered music on savia. I just thought the trip itself was enough, I cant even imagine what music wouldve done on my trips that would be super intense. Mabey sometime i will try.
it helps to keep you grounded in reality, and it can have influence on your trip. whether this is good or not, i have yet to figure out
I dunno... with music everything seems even more unreal. I mean... you don't actually hear the music... well... you do but... you don't hear it in a way you would normally hear it I remember turning into a light blue wave of sound once with psytrance...
yea like you hear the music, but its like the music turns into watever your tripping about. like i said before, i thought iron lion zion was row row row your bus. btw if you want the most pleasant trip ever, listen to Braddah IZ - "somewhere over the rainbow"! i like to play it in windows media player, and just stare at the screen, its like you go into the color spectrums on the screen.
The first time i tried Salvia, i wasn't sure wat to expect. I thought it was just going to distort colours and sounds, but i was so worng. I was sitting in my friends room listening to bob Marlee. I had barely finished taking the hit when i was thrown into an endless patern of falling into his bed sheets (the pattern looked like my profile holding out my hand holding clouds). I freaked out. Just when i thought it was over Bob marlle told me that i wasn't done tripping yet. And then i saw my friends callender slam through the wall and went through the same falling pattern thing. So haha music is different with everyone when triping. The singer talked to me
noises are distracting and irritating on Salvia. I can't predict in advance where my trip is going so I don't know how to select the right music for it. most music turns out to be distracting irritating noise unrelated to my salvia trip, so I don't play it any more.
