last night my little sister and i went mushroom hunting. It's the first time i've ever gone and i was quite suprised when we actually found mushrooms. The only problem is that i dont know if they're physco-active or not. how can i tell? i looked at images on erowid and none of them matched up. they are really weird looking compared to the ones on the site... my mushies i found are orange colored. the heads arn't like normal shrooms heads. they are like a sponge with big pours. The stems are hollow and they havn't really bruised blue or anything. If i can, i'll take a picture but maybe someone can help me thanks so much -wil
Okay, well if it fits all of these then it is definately a Psilocybin containing mushroom: -has gills -spores are dark purple to black -skin turns blue And also, are the mushroom caps large or small? if they are larger then they are most likely of the Amanita species, which are very dangerous in most cases.
These aren't Psilocybin mushrooms chuck them away. If you go out and pick any mushrooms you find, you will pick the wrong things. Get some decent books, look at which species grow in your area and get good photo examples and spore prints. Ideally take somone with you first time who knows what theyre looking for. The safest thing to do is buy spores, you can do this at loads of places online, and grow these. Also don't subject your little sister to anything that could be poisonous, anything could happen! Good Luck in your searches!
dude shut the fuck upbefore you kill some onenot cool brother its still early in the year any thing good any hallucinogenic shrooms out now are pretty mild but you could stumble across something good be careful and identify it firstbut good huntin to yafork out 30 $ and get the mushroom bibleit worth itthe aububon society field guide to north america mushroomsinvest in this book
I wouldn't eat anything that you just "picked out" of the woods or wherever unless you know EXACTLY what to look for. People have died before from eating the wrong kind of mushrooms. Just ask your dealer to hook you up with some shrooms, it'll be alot easier for you in the long run, IMO.
i actually found one in the woods one time. I was considering eating it out of shear couriosity. It was blue and greyish and when i touched it, it shrivled and like died. I didnt eat it though. I left it somewhere and never found it...............
Do they really grow on cow shit? So if i go onto the cow fields near my house i might find shrooms on shit?
Yeah they do, only in the south though, mostly in Georgia and Florida. Hey, is there anybody here who has been successful hunting mushies in the Midwest area, especially Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan area? I've heard of people finding good ones, but people are full of shit so you never know.
once again what measa said field guide to mushrooms an a good eye an a brave soul is the way to go for the inexperienced.. but just know,, sometimes death from a shroom can be as long as 14 days after ya ate it an didnt get off...
My friends find mushrooms in northern IL, they find them in a cow pasture near a stream. On the base of the trees on this slope near the water is where they seem to grow. I assumed it was where the cow poop washed down into the stream. Good luck.
yea ive seen them come right out of the ground in clear day but i beleive its where cow shit was washed away
You found a Polypore and some bruise blue...they wont get you high and most all of these species are very toxic The Shroomery has a hunting Forum and you can post pics of any types of mushrooms or fungii Be carefull and never eat any mushroom unless it has been properly ided by a professional There is probably no danger of getting poisioned by a Polypore because they smell nasty nasty ....you wouldnt be abel to swallow something that horrid even if you were on that Fearfactor show....
The computer I'm on won't allow pop-ups, so I an't attach a picture, but there's a few pics of P. cubensis growing in the wild in my gallery.
