MPD psycho is a short series that ran on japanese television from 2001 to 2002. this series is the television verson from the manga (graphic novels) which are way way out there! takashi miike who is the director of movies such as audition, ichi the killer, and visitor q; wrote and directed this series. this series is quite weird as, are miike's movies and just as rewarding! this japanese series, can be compaired to the american short television series twin peaks by american director david lynch. MPD psycho has just as a surreal nature, and strange twist and turns as twin peaks; and, no doubt is the same reason for it's short run on japanese television, just as twin peaks was on american television... both, were too creative and unconventional, and could not get a large following from mainstrem television. back in the 1990's i bought the complete series of twin peaks on vhs, and later burned all my types on to dvds. i loved MPD psycho so much that, i even bought the whole series on dvd. i recommend MPD psycho most highly!
