The bit at the end of Bambi when Bambi dies, never got over that. Also Watership Down and Texas Chainsaw Massacre (little bit gory for a 5 year old?)
A series of scary plays, the series was called " Mystery and Imagination" scared the crap out of me for years, and I couldn't tell any one, cos I watched it through the crack in the door!
Yes but you turned out alright in the end though, didn't you? Do you still bear scars from the psychological damage inflicted on you as a kid by these films.
Poltergeist -- someone else mentioned Watership down and certain scenes from that really disturbed me, too.
KIDS. i think I was 11 or 12 when i saw it and it totally terrified me, i was afraid being a teenager would be just like it is portrayed in the film.
That movie kind of scarred me as well, now that you mention it. It is one I'd like to watch again, though.

Me and two mates went to the pictures to see that and it scared one of them so much he walked out half way through. When we left he was standing outside distributing bibles to homeless children and reciting verses from the exorcist files.
