While I had already seen at least a dozen movies in the theater before Aliens (1986) what stands out the most was the scene when newt says “I’m scared Ripley” and Ripley says
    “I know, honey, Me too”

It took every bit of strength I had at 11 years old to resist saying “Me three” in the movie theater

I'm still waiting in the theatre to show Aliens. I got to see Alien when they showed it which was a big must for me, I also enjoyed watching Predator at the movies last year. It was like a bunch of 30-45 year olds only, and was just a classic night. Also wouldn't mind watching Terminator and T2 on big screen. Even Jaws.

The first memory of watching a movie was when I watched a Bowery Boys movie (Bowery Boys Meet the Monsters) on TV at my grandparent's house one weekend. I didn't know the title for years until I saw it advertised on tv a few times in my teens.

The first movie that I saw, not on TV, was at a drive-in. It was Close Encounters of the Third Kind (I was 8 or 9 and with my parents). The first movie that I saw in a theater was Star Wars: A New Hope (friend's parents dropped us off) . The first movie I saw at the cinema with no help from adults was Sixteen Candles. After that, it's all a blur.

It was 65 years ago and the film was 'The Wizard of Oz'.
I spent most of the time questioning why the beams from the projectors kept coming from different places and we all know how that ended up. LOL

Well it seems that our local cinema doesn't do these things like the rest of the world.

Jaws at a drive in theatre was the first I can remember. Followed by the original Star Wars in a cinema. Then King Kong with Jessica Lang, drive in again.

You remember a movie when you were three????? I was 6 when Jaws came out in 1975 and barely remember. As Mustard mentioned I remember the head rolling out of the sunken boat.

  14. Yeah...I don't know that I actually remember the movie so much as walking into the theater. Like I said, Jabba was painted on the windows and they had all these colored lights. I have some pretty early memories.

  15. I was born in 1980, by the way, so I know when it was.
