I have managed to make an ISO image file from a DVD, and i know now i should be 'mounting' it if i want to watch it. 2 questions. What exactly is mounting an image, and how do i go about doing it?

    Cheers.

I would use something like Nero to burn the image to a CD or DVD.
I'm working on a project just like that with an .avi that I can't burn any other way. Bottom line, Nero can/will burn an .iso image to a USEABLE format on disk.

    This is very easily solved.

    http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/download.php

Download Daemon-Tools (at the top of the page) and install it.

    Daemon-Tools is a Virtual CD/DVD-ROM emulator.

Basically, it puts a little icon down by the clock, and you can use that icon to create up to 4 "virtual" drives, and then you can mount CD-images (like .iso and .nrg) directly into those drives.

I use Daemon-Tools myself all the time. =) It's mega useful.

I'd vote for Daemon Tools as well. If you just want to watch it, another option is VLC media player.
