Sport bikes=Splatter bikes...I mean that. There's only two kinds of riders... Those that have fallen, and those that will fall.
Lol this thread. I've ridden more than a few ducs, and gobs of japanese sportbikes. They perform but that whole scene is pure douchebaggery. I would never get into it. And having grown up racing motocross, all you squids are just timebombs, believe me. I don't care how well you can ride. Keep it up you'll be scraped off the pavement. It's all about American Iron. Blast through 3rd and cruise.
im confused why do you go on a rant about "squids" and preach about pavement scraping and then post that video and call it "cool" ? oh and what did you mean by american iron?
Good point not splatter proof, new culture amongst many riders is instant street cred. So they buy beyond their expertise and often their skill level is insufficient to ride a 250. Have seen some terrible near accidents and some victims who have learnt stuff all from the crash. We have good roads in our area, twisty but the dangers are many, roos, wombat, stray farm animals, fallen branches, farmers entering the roads, tractors, poor roads, gravel sections. But i have been passed by people going much faster who are not locals , we get a lot of tourist riders in hospital. Every ride i want to get home and see my family.
ah. ya none of them are. come to think of it nothing in life is splatter proof. not even an 87 K100rs that was ripped into two pieces with me on it one night after work. when did they start making Triumphs in U S of A ? Victorys and a few others but if i recall correctly half of a Triumph comes from Thailand.
A person picks their risks, I've put in my time on bikes, road and dirt. I now chose to have plenty of metal around me when I drive, thank you. Vintage Triumphs are 100% American as far as I know. Fuck, you find me anything that doesn't have some plastic or electrics made overseas these days.
