    Hi all
I haven’t posted in a couple days. Life got busy and complicated for awhile but all is good now.
I was visiting my mom in assisted living a few weeks ago and my aunt was there as well.
My aunt noticed I was barefoot and commented “ you are your mother’s daughter for sure” I had alway known mom didn’t wear shoes in the house and when on long trips would slip them off in the car but mom was a barefooter in her day. Lol
Of all the old candid family photos my aunt had there were very few of her wearing shoes, at family celebrations, bars, weddings and a few other public events. My aunt said at semi formal and formal family events every woman there would wait for mom to casually slip the shoes off and before long most women joined her.
I am my mother daughter. Lol
    Happy Independence Day everyone

You are lucky. My folks frowned on bare feet. Even at home.

My mom actually teased me for NOT going barefoot.

I had thought about if when I get older and do assisted living or higher level like nursing home will they let me barefoot walk or say no for my "safety"

And those health code myths that never seem to go away.
