What song do u think is soooo overplayed? I have 2 admit, Stairway 2 Heaven is one of mine. It's a good song, but come on. How many times can 1 hear it in a day & not go nuts? Anyway, let's have em
I actually never heard Stairway to Heaven until about a month ago Hmm lets see... most overplayed song from a good artist would be "Sunshine of Your Love", I think... most overplayed songs by anyone is "Hey Ya", "Heart-Shaped Box" (I've been hearing that one a lot lately), "Money", and just about anything from Britney Spears, Ashlee Simpson, boy bands, Jessica Simpson, Good Charlotte, Simple Plan, and all other popular "punk" bands of today.
At the moment, aussie band Jet's song "are u gonna be my girl" is being used in tons of commercials and it's drives me crazy, also coz they are such big sellouts.
Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2 is probably the most overplayed song I can think of.... about the only time when I listen to the wall when I feel like I want to skip to the next track. DAMN YOU CLASSIC ROCK DJ'S!!! DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!!!!!
Haha I actually enjoy this one.... it's the rest of their songs that suck ass They would've been the next great rock band if they coulda made more rock 'n' roll songs like "Are You Gonna Be My Girl". But them filling out the rest of their album with "punk" crap shows how much "talent" they actually have.
i remember when I'm with you -avril lavign and that one song with cherly crow and kid rock...where they played it ALL the FUCKING time......(yah that was IMO, a waste of money for that song to be produced)
Guns 'n' Roses - Sweet Child O' Mine Lost Prophets - Last Train Home Rage Against the Machine - Killing in the Name The Darkness - I Believe in a Thing Called Love And yes, I have to admitt it... Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2 All these songs I actually like (except maybe Last Train Home) but guys, do you have to play them so damned often?
Purple Haze And I agree with John that Sweet Child O'Mine is way overplay, but I still love it for some reason.
The stupid retarded song from the OC! The one with that guy whining on and on about California or some shit! FUCK I HATE IT!
Brown-eyed Girl- Van Morrison; used to be a real fave of mine, but hearing it on a radio station somewhere every week (sometimes a few times), then even the finest of songs begin to get a little jaded!
Anything by Skynard. Both classic rocks stations here play them to death. Don't blame the dj's, they have no choice but to play off the lists the marketing folk give them. Freeform radio, thematic sets with creative spirit died during the corporate 80's. At least there is still Jim Ladd's shows.
Jet - never heard anything by them Lynyrd Skynyrd - never heard anything by them Stairway To Heaven - hear it two times a year Ashlee Simpson - never heard anything by her Simple Plan - never heard anything by them I'm With You (Avril Lavigne) - never heard it Lost Prophets - never heard anything by them Sweet Child O Mine - never hear it on the radio Killing In The Name - never heard it Purple Haze - never hear it on the radio Brown Eyed Girl - never hear it on the radio so i'd say Another Brick In The Wall Part 2
Outkast - "Hey Ya" Cream - "Sunshine of Your Love" Jimi Hendrix - "Purple Haze" The Beatles - "Yellow Submarine" The Rolling Stones - "Start Me Up" The Rolling Stones - "Beast of Burden" Bah, I can't think of any more right now.
Sherly Crow - The first cuts the deepest Lynyrd Skynyrd - Most songs by them Rolling Stones - Satisfaction
