most listened to band/artist when you were growing up?

as a teenager what band or artist did you engulf yourself in??

i think for me it was neil young,not just solo but with crazy horse, stills young band and CSNY..

i gotta say that crazy horse is my favorite era though..good stuff..

when you were growing up? like you knew them as a little kid? I thought you discovered them at like 17-18..

for me it was The Beatles.

Oh. Hmm as a teenager I can't say there was one band I listened to more than an other, really, except maybe The Beatles as always and maybe The Velvets too, but not as early as you.

I just listened to so many different artists, still do, and it has always depended on my mood. During my hippy period I listened to psychedelia more than anything.

 

But Nick weren't you really into The Grateful Dead at like 15-16, though?

 

Early on probably the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, the Clash

as a teen I started getting into stuff like Husker Du, The Replacements, Bauhaus, Dinosaur Jr, Sonic Youth etc

yeah, but that was part of a larger interest in classic psych rock in general. I didn't much care for their stuff after 1970.
when I was 17 there was a turning point and I got more into like, Television and The Stooges.
