My vote goes to Leonard Cohen. I can't stand him. My housemate listens to him non stop and it drives me mad. I'm not saying he's not a good lyricist, it's just I feel like slashing my wrists and lying in a bath tub every time I hear him sing. Who gets your vote?
:stunned: Cohen is brilliant I say. Good author too. I find Fleetwood Mac kinda boring. And lots of that 'middle of the road' stuff doesn't do much for me. Bon Jovi, Eagles, Crowded House, that sort of thing.
You, sir, are a scoundrel and a cur of the highest order! How can you say the Eagles are boring compared to Cohen? En guarde!
Music only becomes a bore when it is someone elses taste you keep having to listen to. My first wife overplayed Simply Red, I get suicidal every time I hear them now. A new album coming out I hear, or perhaps that should say wish I don't hear.
James Blunt's singles are pretty boring. Yeah, I know he has his fans (I think some of his non-singles are decent and that he hasn't been given a fair chance in a couple of ways). Still, having to listen to You're Beautiful about five FUCKING times a day on the work radio has rendered me unable to feel emotion.
Without a doubt Ronan Keating, i saw a live performance on TV, his most exciting song was 'rollercoaster'............ ha
Well see, The Eagles have this one tempo, for all I play a few instruments I couldn't tell you it. But if you were to ask an aged dog to tackle a military obsticle course, I reckon that'd be about comparable. Cohen does mix his tempo's up a bit. The lyrics may be all doom and gloom, but he's not oposed to throwing some jazzy beats in there. Anyway... Hi-Yah! :karate: :sabres:
(I've just noticed there by the way, there's two smilies with the same 'code'. Two boxing ones...One with two fellows in red gloves ( :boxing: ) and one with one dude in black gloves ( :boxing: ) As you can see, although I did enter both codes as intended the same guy shows up. ... (( I've just realised I'm a wee bot not so sober. So I may just be blind to the obvious )) ... ((( Anyway, I intended for the second boxer to show, the guy on his own. Because of not so sober state, I place a lot of thought into these smiles, and I decided the second boxer was more appropriate. Not too keen on these ones here. Too violent. The other one looks like he's just warming up to something. Should the oppenent not back down about The Eagles! :reddevil:
That's what I'm saying. If you go on the smiley drop-down-click-to-place thing, and choose each seperate one. They still come up the same... :boxing: :boxing:
I love the Arctic Monkeys. Boo to you. Anyways, I'm going to be shot or hung I'm sure for this but... Bob Dylan Johnny Cash :leaving:
Wait, Arctic Monkeys right? I love how upbeat they are, and find them pretty catchy. I find them uplifting and they're great to do a little dance too.
I think early Dylan is the best, when he still had some fire in his belly. I find Queen pretty boring, along with most 80's rock.
