Are the bastards of the insect world. I went for a 7 mile walk down by the river yesterday and i have like 5 mosquito bites. One even got me on the elbow. The elbow for christ's sake!
Seven miles is a long walk. I would have expected more than five bites. Those mosquitoes have not been doing their job.
I have always lived next to a river and this year they have been bad, Worse than I can remember. All the little fuckers that piss you off. Use deep wood's off for a spray if you want no bites. Or what has worked for me but not many others, Use dryer sheets. All you need is 3-4 of them, Pockets, Rear pocket or waist band and neck or hat. They hate the smell of the detergent.
I try to avoid chemicals as much as possible. I didn't know about the dryer sheets though. I'll have to try that one
Im a chemical person lol, If it works. My area is dense with vegetation and river, So ill try anything if its not too off the wall. But ya, Try the sheets, But it don't work for all so don't be disappointed if it don't. Guess it has something to do with you're body chemistry but that part is always left out.
I have no clue why (because when it's mosquito/bug season I do not wear perfumes or scented lotions and even use unscented soaps and deodorants usually..), but I get mosquitos bites all the time....even when I do not hardly leave the house for a day or two (except maybe for a few mins to check the mail or what not), I will STILL end up with a bunch of mosquito bites all over.... Other bugs like me a bit too much too. When D and I used to camp in this park @ the beach... there were these certain biting flies around and they would just gravitate towards me and be all over me biting me. The one time we went and the flies were super bad I came home with upwards of 80 bites (I figured out later on that the month we were there is the month they are the worst, and it was so bad that I have never and never will go back there in that month...), while D had about 5 bites. And I wasn't wearing anything scented! Just this past weekend at the street fair... certain bees decided they were going to follow me around and seriously not leave me alone at all. Yet the people sitting right beside me... in the clear. Any idea why this would be... like, why bugs seem to like certain people's blood (or just the scent cause I know the bees don't drink your blood), better than other people's? Some people just taste sweeter? In any case, yea, 5 bug bites isn't that bad at all.
^hey were those lil biting flies called "no-see'ums" or midge flies? or were they the black flies that live up north. one time i got headlice from babysitting some lil kids. fuck mosquitoes they aint shit compared to headlice.
lol that was a long time ago, and their parents didnt tell me, didnt care. what a bitch huh. how do you get rid of them??? most of them are immune now to the normal methods of killing them off. what did i do? well i bought dog flea and tick drops, put them in my hair twice a day, and it killed off the eggs. i have long hair so they'd hide in my pony tail, but slowly it was killing them off, and i picked all those bitches out of my shit. and i alwayz slept in a diff spot everynight. took almost a week to get rid of them
eat garlic they tend to leave you alone, otherwise live in a country where they dont bother you i.e. that bgreat place england!!!!!
