    I HATE mosquito bites
I got 8 on my feet the day I got broken up with :(
    stupid things

I've heard that increasing your vitamin B intake (ie pills) makes you less tasty to 'em

I've heard they really like women's pheramones or hormones...I've been a hormonal freak the last few days...I think I've been extra tasty.

My partner was in the same locations I was this whole weekend...he got no skeeter bites...I got 19, go figure.

I'll have to check out that Vitamin B thing, though.

Mosquito bites used to really bother me... until one summer I worked up north for the whole summer and had at least 15 bites on me any given time.... after a while they just stopped itching... I guess I became immune or something.

Dont get mad but they are attracted to the release of carbondioxide from you, your skin leaches it also that is why they eat at you back too. So I guess one could say if they are more attracted to women it might be becuase you all release more air,lol Im gonna get killed for that one.

I was on a canoe trip this weekend and got eaten alive! My legs are a bumpy battlefield, my neck looks like I have lymphoma tumors and I have a third eye growing out of my left temple. :)

Put an X in them with your fingernail... that stops the itching.... and its environmentally friendly.

The reason that works is because the pressure causes quite a bit more histamine to be released. The release of histamine is what causes them to itch. A better way around to eliminate the itching is to take the hottest shower you can possibly stand and let the hot water run over the bites for a while. The hotter the better as heat can cause a massive release of histamine and stop the itching for a much longer period of time.

I'm sure it would work, although I have a super-nasty sunburn that if I turned on ANY hot water I would turn into a big crybaby cuz it would sting so badly!
