After loving the Doors, than hating them, than kinda liking them, I finally read a Morrison Biography (No one Here Gets out Alive by Jerry Hopkin, and Dan Sutherland). It was very intersesting. I just have one question: One of the two authors of the book describes a night where he hung out with Jim and Nico (everyone should know who she is). Nico and the author did a little drugs, but Jim smoked hash, drank whiskey, ate acid, took downers (prescrtion sleeping pills), and uppers (some kind of amphetamine pill) all at once, and a lot of them. (BTW I know he died of somekind of drug overdose when he was 27, in Paris), but all this happened when he was 24. And he lived through it!!! HOW THE FUCK DID HE LIVE ATHAROUGAH IT???? okay-smoking cannabis and getting drunk together won't kill a person, and the acid by itself, or with the downers or hash wouldn't kill someone, but mixing sleeping pills and acohol is like a no-no, acid and alcohol ain't a great combo either, and mixing uppers and alcohol isn't excactly healthy. How the fuck did the guy survive it. It's a wonder he didn't fall off the top of a building, or have a fucking stoke right there!!!
