So, I was supposed to get my period yesterday. And when I got back from lunch, I found blood spots in my underwear so I got pads... I had a little bit of bleeding, and by last night it was almost nothing. Today I only really see blood when I wipe, but I don't get any on the pad. I've NEVER had spotting before so I dont know what it means, if I should be afraid, or what. But, it's making me nervous because I've never been irregular or had weird spotting like this. Its not like its not my time of the month and I shouldnt be bleeding, it is my time, but its EXTREMELY light, and I'm confused. I am on birth control, Ortho Tri Cyclen LO, and the pack of pills before this, I lost during the third week of pills, and so I just stopped taking them for the 4 or 5 days that I had left before the pack would be empty and I abstained for a couple/few weeks. My period, last month, then came about a week early since I had to stop the pills early because I didnt have the money at the time to get a new pack. Could this be why its all screwy this month? I started the new pack the Sunday after I got my period, just as you are supposed to, and went through the entire thing making no mistakes... so I should have a real period now, right? Im so confused/ nervous
If you're super worried, get a pregnancy test. When I was on the pill, after the first couple of months, my periods were really, really light. I wiped blood but hardly any was on the pad. It sounds completely normal.
I'd say this would be normal, especially after missing some and being off them for a bit then getting back on them.... but yeah, if you're worried or nervous, get a pregnancy test.
i got a test, im not pregnant, just concerned about why it was doing that... its just weird to me because ive never ever been irregular or had spotting, etc. but ill just see what happens next month i guess.
i'm on the same birth control as you are, and i messed it up and my mom told me to stop taking them until my next period.. and it also messed up my period like yours. i don't think its anything to worry about
what happens is the lining inside your uterus never builds up like it would in preparation of the release of an egg. When I was on the pill, I rarely had a period at all, maybe one every six months or so (regular pills, not those continuous ones) and then it was very very light when it did happen.
