Moosehead is a decent beer for what it is; a simple Canadian lager. Lagers (pilsners), to me, aren't all that exciting. They're all pretty much the same in a lot of ways. You have the cheap swill like Old Milwaukee and Bud, then you have the more quality, better-tasting stuff like Grolsch and Moosehead.

So yeah, it's a decent beer. But nothing special. Not to me, anyway.

Lagers are much better suited for hot weather drinking, IMO.

For a lager, I'll give Moosehead a thumbs up.

I would avoid Labatt and Molson, though Molson Canadian isn't that bad at all in hot weather. It's cheap and refreshing, and it doesn't taste absolutely terrible like most macro-lagers do. If I was broke I would drink it, which is more than I can say for Budweiser and Coors.
