Are they even available where you guys are?

i tried them in asia, and whilst they dont taste the EXACT SAME as meats they are pretending to be, imho they taste just as good if not better. I really actually do prefer them.
Whilst im a veg for ethical reasons, this really does make the process alot easier for me (and potentially would for others).

    What do you guys think?

There are very common here although I rarely eat them. The only time is if I go to someones to eat, they always serve them because as North American omnis they can't fathom not eating meat -or something that isn't at least shaped and flavoured like meat- at every meal.

We have a few here in Missouri, but unless you're in the bigger cities they're outrageously expensive. They scare me a bit, anyways. I like to keep my food as unprocessed as possible.

Not sure if the original poster was posting about what I am thinking he was talking about, but I think he was talking about the mock meats that are made in China. I find them at the Chinese groceries here in the china town of Denver ( for Drummin Mama who lives in Denver, it is at Federal and Missisippi, and place is called Hung Phat), and there is tons of immatation meats, like chicken, ham, tuna, duck, salmon, monk fish, I even saw fake fish intestines once. One of the brand names is vegeusa ( well the importer) and they have a website you can order from if there is no china town in your city, I think it is ww.vegeusa.com

I order worthington, chilli man veggie chilli and loma linda cans from Amazon by the case which is cheaper than by the can at the store.

At the store I get morning star farms, chick patties and breakfast strips, as well as tofu.

Yeh, it's great! (if it doesn't tase too much like real meat)

I use Vegie Delights made by Sanitarium (australia) i mostly use Bacon, Ham, Susages, Hot Dogs, kababs... Good for the smokey flavor,

I've tried this like Morning something brand of fake burger patties... I really like them, I don't prefer them over the real thing but I do really like them.

Yup, we got them, and nope, I don't buy them. Don't see the point. I don't want meat, or imitation meat.
