Ok, so my circumstances right now are we have no money, but thats not what the moan is about.

So im late, sick, tierd and moody as hell, and its just possible im pregnant, maybe, but i cant afford to test. so i went to the doctor to ask if i could be tested there, because i NEED to know, cos meds im on could harm the baby, the doctor was soooooo grumpy about it, like, oh just go and pay for one, which i cant, which annoyed me, and two, its going to be 5-7 working days before i get the results.

you would think that they could do it a little quicker considering the circumstances, ive had to stop my meds just in case (they control a nerve problem i have in my face). its so frustrating. i also had hyperemisis in my last pregnancy, and probably will again (im already feeling rough on and off all day/night etc, which might just be a bug, or the heat(i hate heat, lol)but has been going on 3 weeks now) the sooner i know im pregnant the sooner i can try and find a decent treatment, theres so much i need to think about, and he is looking all disaproving that im asking for a docs test. ARRRRGGGGG.

Sorry peoples, needed a rant. How you all doing?

Do they have dollar stores in London? I know they sell pregnancy tests here for only 1-3 bucks at the really cheap dollar stores and they are usually pretty accurate.

Who is looking disapproving of you askng for a doctor's test?

(((((hugs))))) I hope you feel better!!

Are there those "Pregnancy Crisis Centers" there? They are prolife centers, but they do give free pregnancy tests. When my sister was poor, she used them, and just brought her Bible to read so they wouldn't bug her with propaganda. They are in the Phone Book in the USA.

I hope you can get some help. enigma.

I am kinda surprised you are having trouble seeing a doctor. I thought the UK had National Health. I'm sorry you're going through this.

Hey sweetie, if there are any crisis centers nearby, like Maggie mentioned, check into going. It will give you a piece of mind, and you won't have to worry about the cost of a pregnancy test.

I hope you can find out what's going on soon, and I wish you good luck. Keep us updated.

Always test with your first urine of the day. But yeah, the more you stress out, the more likely your period will be late. Try to occupy your mind with other thoughts, and if your period doesn't show up by the weekend, test again.

try taking a hot bath to relax your muscles before you go to sleep tonight. that might help with the stress, too. try not to dwell on it, even though i'm sure that seems impossible.

but yes, there are crisis centers and clinics (planned parenthood has a sliding scale based on income), if you go to school your universitys health center might help, too. it's none of my business, and i'm not trying to offend you or make assumptions about your situation, but they all have free condoms and you might be able to get on the pill for free at planned parenthood, or at least for cheap. a couple dollars a month to prevent a baby is a lot less than the monthly cost of a new baby.

:):):) thanks lawn girl, ive got an 8 month old son so time to relax is scarce and i know allllll about the expense, lol, and we have been using condoms, one was distinctly dodgy looking after use which is why im worried (had to be on ovulation day didnt it,), and i dont believe in the morning after pill, cant take the normal pill cos of migranes, and am getting a coil next week, if my bloody period comes, lol, but no offense taken tho ;)
