Mixing booze and weed... bad idea!?

So yesterday I went to this music festval in this huge cave, and I had a few drinks. Some vodka and beer. I also probably had like 5 cigarettes in the hour(I'm trying to quit, but I find that so hard when I'm drinking). Anyway, I much prefer to be stoned then drunk, by far, so we found this guy that was smoking pot and I asked if I could throw down 5 bucks to smoke a bowl with him.

We did and I probably got about 4 or 5 good hits. I was fine at first but then I just started to feel really dizzy, so I went to lay down on this bench thing.

I then began to get these intenese headaches and nasuea, and I just felt so fucked up in my head it was awful! I think I passed out for a little bit and then I woke up and just started vomiting. Finally after feeling like I was going to choke I tried passing out again, and eventually did.

Later on I started to feel better but I'm still feeling a bit out of it now.

I don't know what the hell it was, because I smoke like every day lately and that doesn't happen. I'm thinking it was the booze and the cigarettes having a bad mix in with the weed, like I was starting to get sick from drinking just as I smoked up and that intensified it.

Does anyone else here find that they just cannot mix drinking and smoking? I hope I'm not the only one. It really sucked.

 

you are defintly NOT the only one. It happens to me every single time. Its such a different feeling isnt it? At first its nice, but after you let the weed settle down on your brain you get nauseous, i puke almost everytime and experience the worst dizzy feeling just like you have.

 

Well, then together you and me can just say FUCK MIXING IT! Give me just good ol' weed any day. Save some money AND have a better time!

Interestingly, I feel the desire to drink less and less. I don't really even miss drinking, the only part of it I miss is going to the bars with some of my friends. I'd much rather be stoned.

 

it seems that alcohol loses its appeal when ur old enough to drink it legally... i love it for parties and cant wait till i turn 21... but alot of my friends said they felt the exact same way and now they barely even drink now that they've turned 21.. so idk

Clubbing is the funnest fuckin shit ever, Drinking with friends, dancing with hot chicks, and having an all around good time...if i went to a club on weed i would just be some hurting burn out sitting down


And yes...alchohol and weed can be a bad mix if u dont know your limits, i know exactly my levels when i can still smoke and how much when i've been drinking


but....i dont smoke weed anymroe, so i'm all about the tanks now.

 

My mom told me stories about how that used to happen to my dad when he smoked and drank(long ago). Luckily, I can mix the two without hideous results.

first time i smoked i was drunk off my ass... awesome high.

 

i always smoke before i drink. Ill get real high then drink about 4 beers, i dont really get too fucked up, just really really high and all happy and loose from the alcohol

 

Last night I was drunk in a thunderstorm in the middle of a lake... I got baked off my ass, first, but I totally lost contact and I've had a hangover and nausea all day. I'm hoping to smoke and get rid of it in a few minutes.

Crazy, that's never happened to me. I've always considered myself a hardhead to substances though. It's funny though, I will be drunk off my ass and smoke.. then I suddenly realize how I am acting like a drunkass as the weed kicks in.

 

It'snever happened tometobe honest - i nearly always drink when im smoking. we light a fire in a barn or if warm in a field and pass round joints and bottle of vodka... good times
