I was mistaken for a much richer man once. I got a call from Italy from a women with a thick accent. She asked if my local Ferrari dealer had called me about the new test drive. I said no and in her broken English she was like "so sorry sir I contact them this is not OK we at Ferrari take care of clients". I googled my name and sure enough there is some very famous doctor that is the whole front page. Maybe they thought I was him? Hope no one at the dealer got in trouble. It was kind of lost in translation that I was not expecting any calls. It's still one of the highlights of my life. I felt rich for a second.
lol; at a s-f convention, not long after ce3k, someone thought i was richard dryfus. (that was many years ago, back in the 1980s, these days i'd more likely be mistaken for e.t. j/k, but i am kind of distantly related to allen kanigsberg)
OK. Guess that's why I did not recognize her. Seems we only get BBC programs in the US. I got hooked on one about a couple reuniting after 37 years apart. Can't recall the name at the moment.
20 years ago, I had an exact double living in my area. There were multiple incidents where my friends say they saw him. My would say they saw me at the mall yesterday and said Hi, but I didn't answer. But I wasn't at the mall yesterday. Sadly I never encountered this mysterious look-alike guy.
