As for the monster who did those things to that woman, I hope he's viciously raped every day of his sentence, and murdered the day before his release date. Even though I'm sure they'll have him in separate "safe confinement."

Different states = different laws and statutes. Sucks, but that is the name of the game.

Funny thing, Just because they are murderers and the like, Don't mean they didn't have a mom, Sister, Female in their life. They know more about this guy than the cops and ill bet they are patiently awaiting his arrival lol. They cant wait to get at him and just like castro he will be found dead and 'the day goes on'.

many inmates live in jail, many of them want to keep the privileges they have.. Not going to attack some pedo from the street : no matter how popular the idea might seem. going to the RHU- being charged with a crime inside a prison.. You dont get away with murder in jail either.

What will happen : Segregation from General population. however this can change over the years, when the case isnt so fresh on pops minds. And they will be like everyone else.

Segregated house units do the same things general populations units do> they go to meal, have rec, gym, yard, commissary. Go out with their groups.

In large jails/prisons with pod buildings separated from main buildings, hospital,gym, commissary,church. The segregated inmates could be in movements with general populations. Only to go back to their SEG housing once their movement is complete. They wouldnt even be noticed by other inmates, after time they would look everyone else..

if the prison isnt safe for pedophiles: Its probably isnt safe for anyone: Including correctional staff. Or anyone newly arrested.. LIKE YOU!!

Im pretty sure for the right amount of $$, A few inmates will be let in by a CO. Or they will slide a razor blade under the door. Do it yourself, Or we will get you soon.

A guy serving life with no parole, I highly doubt he is worried about another 15 to life added on. It not a matter of 'if', Its a matter of 'when' he will get his payback no matter how big and bad the prison is or set up.

 

I don't know, Yogi... I see what Orison is saying. Jails/prisons aren't really as scary as people make them out to be because ppl who aren't lifers are trying to do their time n get out and people who are lifers are still tryin to stay in general pop (read not in isolation their whole natural life) and keep their visitation and such.

the other thing is high profile cases, they will keep those people separate. so people can't even get to them. not that it's not a nice thought.

Looks like prisons are a lot safer than they used to be. Although one thing to consider is that 1 in 3 deaths in prisons are suicide. How many of those are forced suicide as someone else pointed out, or murders that were staged or reported as suite we will never now. But the prison life most of us are exposed to by the media, while may have been accurate in earlier times, are greatly exaggerated in today's world.
