While camping recently. cleaning in a river. cooking over a fire. sleeping under the stars on nice nights! i realised how much i would want that life full time!

No electricity . Running water from a public tap up the road!
Never in a rush and spending time actually cooking your food and making sure the fire keeps going!

We made our own music. Guitars and campfires .
    :sunny:

even during some of the bad weather. the carefree feeling was still there :D

:2thumbsup: I wish i could camp full time ::bobby: lol

I know; it's so pleasant, so wonderful, so peaceful... :sunny:

I was recently introduced to http://fic.ic.org/ , which is a directory of "intentional" communities, maybe there's one out there that does or is that... :)

It is also great living out here in the woods. Not quite like camping, I have electric, solar power, natural gas for heat, a log cabin surrounded by nature, nearest neighbor is half a mile away, and nice cool folks.
Then there is that money thing where you need to buy this or that.....Ya need some kind of income and or job skill to maintain even a minimal existance. And yes, you can get by on less! Community is a great way to start.

The outdoors is how life should be. When you are out in the woods for several weeks and then later drive to a huge urban city it really puts a lot into perspective. Material items are worthless and in the city, its all everyone seems to want, more junk!

farmout said it best though and i don't plan on ever moving back to the city for his very reasons.

Same here, I really love camping. My favorite part is sleeping outdoors with no light and noise pollution. I hate the chaotic and claustrophobic feel of the city. I just moved out of the city to a smaller size beach town and it has improved my over all well-being dramatically. It's all about finding pockets of zen wherever you can. ::peace::

I love camping out over the weekends and communing with mother nature but that’s my limit, by late sunday night I want to be back home in a nice soft bed, eating popcorn, ice cream, and watching breaking bad on cable.
