sometimes i wonder why our souls seem to be "trapped" inside of our physical bodies. to me, it feels very limiting to only have one space for our souls to find security. has anyone ever contemplated the mind body connection? what is this crude machine that houses our souls? why? what is the thing inside of me that makes my choices? or am I just physical substance that has fooled itself into thinking there is something more?
Perhaps the mind permeates through the body, thus creating it. The physical does not drive the metaphysical, it's the other way around. You are understanding this reality through a body, but that does not mean that the reality drives you. Understand that you can control the way in which you live your life, and what I would recommend is figure out yourself. What are you afraid of? Face it. What have you done wrong? Admit to it. What makes you smile? Do it. and make sure you're drinking plenty of water (The medium through which life permeates) --Steve
This is the core of my stuggle, also. And in the final analysis, each of us needs to find the answer ourselves. But it's good to share our struggles - thank you.
i've looked at astral projection for a while now and I found an interesting book on it a few months ago. i do believe that our bodies are vessels for our souls but i am just curious as to why? why did we choose this reality? why this time?
The thing is that, if mind is all there is, everything would seem exactly the same as it already does. There's no way to tell if mind can be distinguished from body, or if anything really physical exists, or mind just seems physical.
I think those are the questions we're here to answer for ourselves. Our lives are the process of discovering those answers, and in finding those answers we gain more depth of knowledge about ourselves and the universe.
just physical substance is a big enough mystery - you - made of earth and air and water and light and power in complete unity feeling divided is not so good you just is and you is the absolute authority on what you is no , there is nothing more somebody who wants authority over you has created foolish lies so to make you confused and dependent , but still , everybody survives it pretty good and anyhow why not think upon foolish questions since it passes the time ok and anyhow down deep in you can really be thinking something wise and becoming more - more light faster light
