    Hi
Not all mimosa has the tryp... content. Several positive species are Mimosa hostilis, M. scabrella, Desmanthus illinoensis. Check Erowid for more info.

those silk trees are prolly Albrizza or something like that, & not the M. hostilis ROOT BARK that is used as "jurema" by local folks, & is used as a source of psychedelic trypts for aya-logues (along with some sorta MAOi-plantstuff), & for dmt extraction by amateur chemists...

Well, if it does infact contain DMT, then you would need to take an MAOI with it to actually feel the effects. Mimosa Hostilis is a common ingredient used in Ayuhuasca, along with an MAOI like Syrian Rue. The reason is because your body breaks down the DMT in your body so you can't feel its effects, but when you take an MAOI, it inhibits that ability so you can actually trip out.
My suggestions are first research and try to find exactly what species of Mimosa your tree is and find whether it contains DMT, and then secondly order some Syrian Rue (look on Ebay, you can get it for like $.99).
