Ok, so today my brother called me and he was talking to me so I called him a dick, just for being one. And he continues talking and just owns me. He is too smart. Anyway he supports me going into the military. But he doesn't want me going into the military as some grunt, who has to listen to a sargent that doesn't know shit all day. He doesn't want me ending up cleaning toilets 3 times a day, and he knows I am someone to punch the guy who is yelling at me, so Ill end up in jail. So he wants me to go to an officer school, like westpoint if not westpoint. I am looking to here about your military experiences, and ideas for getting me into an officer school. I am a bad student, but still have 3 years to make it up, and I do tae kwon do. (I don't even know if I passed) Sorry but I don't want any bullshit responses from 14 year olds saying omg the military is bad your going to die.
omg the miltary is bad your gonna die sorry couldnt resist but fuck your brother he isnt your father.
if you dont have the capability of becomming an officer you dont ever get to be one, period why would they let you in as an officer when the person next to you tried 100 times harder and is 100 times smarter? join the Marines instread of the Army, and your already one step ahead of the rest
the only branch that you can go straight to officer school for is the Marines..i think...because thats what my friend is gonna be doing.
What is your reason, or reasons, for wanting to go into the military? (Pure curiousity..not looking to start some stupid political arguement)
i always thought of the military as the laaaaast option. dude why not get a job instead of beings someones bitch?
just putting this out there...i attend Americas first private military college. i've decided not to pursue a military lifestyle. before, i had wanted to be a Officer in the Marine Corps, then changed to the US Army. we have ROTC programs for all 4 services. so you can go the ROTC route, which will have you go through an officer course the Army has ROTC at any of the schools that offer ROTC, or go to OCS...or you can try to get into West Point. or a direct commission. http://www.goarmy.com/about/officer.jsp the Marines have PLC (platoon leadership course) which you take as a college freshman, soph or junior year. OCC (officer candidates course) is for seniors. Those in NROTC go through OCS (officer candidacy school). or you can attempt to get into the Naval Academy... http://officer.marines.com/ i know plenty of people who wanted to be Officers, and then decided they'd much rather be enlisted...dont' have to deal with all the red tape and BS of being an officer. its up to you...really. you will be taking orders either which route you take - enlist or officer. so saying you will punch a person for yelling at you...well, that shit aint gonna fly in the military.
ME! no not really, but I think it would be something good as a backbone when going into a real career. Your always going to be somones bitch unless you own, co-own the company. My brother doesn't want me to be the bitch, since he is a pimp with bitches twice his age.
go do some research on the army they have so many fucking jobs and you dont have to kill people. You can cook, work on vechials, fly helicoptors, be a medic, etc etc
You live in a country that kills people daily, some for no reason. Though I am not a conspirarist, I still think the government hides/covers up a lot from us.
Have you looked into signing up for the peace corp? I've known people who have done that and loved it.. its tough work though.. you could end up building irrigation in some village.. or teaching.. or help build houses.. you can get to see the world.. you get paid monthly.. usually paid more than you need for where you are.. and you get money when you're done.. and if you don't like it.. you can withdrawl.. its frowned apon.. but it can be done.. unlike the military
Yes, that is true, and the military is its main tool for doing so. It's not like it kills for no reason, though. I'm sure the government has reasons, even if they are imagined, evil, or not stated outright.
Getting into the Peace Corps generally requires a bachelor's degree or many years of work experience in a relevant field.
