Who all likes MGMT? I love them! My favorite band of all time. The lyrics, the sounds, all of this puts me in a trance! :daisy:

I only liked their first album a bit - some good tunes, but IMHO didn't work well as an album. I hear Congratulations was much better though?

MGMT are great. I loved their first album. I admit that their 2nd album needs some times, but once you've listened to it completely it shows to be full of gems. Let's face it, to pull of a song like Siberian Breaks really is something. Been listening to it on repeat on and off for more than a year and still am stunned by the beauty of that track. :2thumbsup::2thumbsup::2thumbsup:

Funny you mentioned Siberian Breaks. That`s probably my top favorite by them besides Of Moons, Bird, & Monsters, Electric Feel, Song for Dan Tracy& The Handshake. Same here also, that song put me in a trance one night when I first really listen to the words & music in complete silence. Such a beautiful song & I`m glad that you like them too! :daisy:

I listened to oracular spectacular for like a month straight when it first came out. In the car, in my room, wherever. And I swear it made me trip a little each time, like that complete loss of a sense of time you get when you're tripping. Then I had to put it away for a couple of weeks. Then I still listened to it once a week for a couple of years. Only recently did I start to get sick of it so I had to put it away for a while. I'll probably drag it out in a couple of months and repeat the process.

I listened to that album more than I've ever listened to any album in my life. I've only heard Congratulations a couple of times. I think I'm afraid i'll get equally obsessed with that one lol.

i like mgmt. their first album is really good, but i wasn't much of a fan of the second one. if their third album is good they might be redeemable.

also i saw them live once and it was terrible. was disapointed with their live show.
