I think after watching the last few games, I want the Cards to go to the World Series... I don't know why, I guess maybe because it would be kinda cool to see Jeff Weaver pitch against a team he used to play on...he was with the Tigers during the really bad seasons... Either way, I'm just happy teh Tigers made it to the World Series...I never thought I'd ever see it happen in my life...I was 1 years old the last time they went to the W.S. Hurry up Cards and beat the Mets...so the ass whoopin' from the Tigers can commence
ouch. yeah me too. you know me, Im a huge cards fan, and IM biting nails....... I hate close games. but yet, we still have to go back to NY......... whichever team wins here has to go to detroit all beaten up, and detroit has had a week of rest...... not good. detroit should win the WS, I mean the odds are really in their favour. but Im still pulling for the cards, but we gotta make it through this series, and their lineup just gives me heartburn....... ugh!
last detroit vs st louis series was 1968. my dad bet a friend of his a 5th of whiskey that st louis would win, and they lead the series 3-1 only to lose in 7 games...... my dad was only 20 then

I was 9 when the tigers went all the way. I saw a double header that year. They beat the Blue Jays twice in one day. I don't give a rats ass about pro sports, but I'm quite excited for the Tigers this year. Its been a while. BTW, I was born and raised in Grand Haven, MI
I definitely want the cards to beat the mets because that means detroit can stomp all over the cards in the world series. But if the mets won then it would be a tougher series for the tigers. Of course the tigers will win the world series because its fate and they are on such a roll.
I want the Cardinals to win it all.They got some ex-fan favorite Angels on that team..Eckstein,Spiezio,Edmonds..Jeff Weaver was an Angel earlier this year but he sucked balls and lost 10 games for us,so we dumped his ass!His little bro Jered Weaver is the shit though! I know Cards fans are loving Spiezio right now.He's so freakin' clutch in the playoffs.His game 6, 3 run homerun in the 2002 World Series,helped spark the greatest comeback in World Series history with a team facing elimination.That homerun is etched into alot of Angel fans minds...Go Cardinals!
Detroit is going to win regardless, and I'm going to be happy, st louis has the team to get them to the series, but missing some intangible thing that makes them a team, maybe its a national league thing

st louis is the underdog..... someone had a picture of the underdog character with an stl on his uniform. thats how I felt about them all season, especially after they really started losing in sept....... and theyve made it this far in the playoffs, they just need one more win in NY. its gonna be tough! playoffs are completely different than the regular season...... it shows that you need experienced performers in the playoffs.... yeah, there is that california-st louis connection, as someone mentioned with edmonds, eckstein, weaver, and speizio, I think that is due in part to tony larussa...... he coached for oakland many years, and he lives there in the sunshine state..... so I think he likes to get people from that area of the country........ if you think about it too, yadier molina is the younger brother of the molina brothers who played for the angels, as well........ but there is a cardinal connection with speizio, his dad played for the cardinals back in the 60s....... and he is happy to be a cardinal, he had wanted to play for the club since he was a kid...... thats why he dyes his soul patch red
My mom has been trying to tell me that the games are fixed and i am trying not to believe her. I've been trying to watch my homeboys, but i've been in mexico this week. The first two games I got to watch out on a big projector screen on the beach. The third game i saw on tv in english. The fourth i had to watch in spanish. and i missed the fifth and i need to go watch the game right now! We'd better beat the Mets tonight, though we're down at the moment... Go Cards! anyway! I wanna see them in the World Series again!
