Im confused about your posts about methadone... i have some 10mg pills some of you say that it will get me high as hell, possibly for days, some of you say that it wont do anything some of you say a high dose is 100mgs some of you say a high dose is 15mg... i used to have a habbit but i havent touched any opiates in 18 months so i dont have a tollerance to it. does anyone know the truth? are these worth anything to me?
ok, PIT - you should check out the Wikipedia entry for Methadone. Besides that, take this advice - Methadone is used to help Heroin addicts recover by weaning them away from the opiate addiction. It is pretty much the strongest, least addictive synthetic opiod that you can take orally. It is usually given in a 40mg dose over a full day to addicts who obviously have a huge tolerance. DON'T follow the advice of someone who says to take 100mgs right off. Start with 10mg at first, and once you work your way up, taking 40-50mgs in a day may be viable. And these pills are definately worthwhile. Methadone has the longest half life of any opiate, meaning it is effective in your brain for the longest time out of any pills you can take. i wouldnt argue with anything u said, V, but i am confused....... u say methadone is the least addictive but i have seen countless stories of claims that it was incredibly difficult to get off, even impossible. some posts i have read have refered to it as lifelong. can u shed any light on that? thanks
alright, well according to medical science and tests that have been run, there's something inherent in methadone and the way it crosses the blood brain barrier or something that makes it less addictive than say, H, oxy, morphine, and even oxycodone. thats why it is used for the most part (medically speaking at least) for treating heroin addiction. of course, it has it's potential for abuse and addiction just like any other drug, so its no wonder you've got some people who get addicted to it, especially as it is most often used in long term treatment regimens. pit check out a video on youtube called HARMD (helping Americans reduce methadone deaths) Yeah there is actually an association of people who are pissed about loved ones dying over prescribed meds not ones abusing it. Methadone is some serious shit it fucks with the elctical output in your heart and can stop your breathing. I was taking 5mg twice a day and got off of them because it made me sleepy. Also at night I found myself waking up to catch my breath because I quit breathing. I'm not trying to scare you just saying alot of people on here know things but there are also those who brag and anybody who tells you to take 100mg is an asshole who is trying to get you killed. start with 5mg or 10 and please be careful!
Chakkname most people die on methadone when they are new to it and take way to big of a dose or they mix it with other drugs. Methadone is some powerful shit but it is 1000 times safer then using Herion I can tell you that. I have been on a methadone clinic now for almost 5 years I was taking as high as 120mg a day and am now on 50mg a day. and it is what I credit to helping me live a normal life now. HARMD is just a scare tactic, its parents and loveed ones who are mad that there kids are addcits and are looking for someone to blame besides the addcit, its human nature, Does HARMD really think Herion or OC's are safer then Methadone, I wsih they would do a study on how many people got there lifes straight because of Methadone ? also Methadone is not the least addictive opiate its the worst opiate to kick buy far ask and junkie who has kicked Methadone. Herion withdrawls are real bad for about a week and can last for about 2 weeks, Methadone withdrawl can last for up to 6 to 8 weeks and the withdrwal is way for intence the Herion you are so dam sick. some doctors say you can even have seizures from the withdrawl. I have seen people coming of Methadone cold Turkey and it is hell.I would rather kick a 15 bag Herion Habbit any day of the week then Methadone.
