Metallica V.S Megadeth

okay so who here is on the megadeth side, and whos on the metallica side, or who likes both, or who likes both but one more than the other

 

Think this argument is kind of old?
I voted Megadeth. First four albums were spectacular, the epitome of thrash.
I've still never heard a Metallica song that I liked, and I've been through the entire discography.

 

Who's on who's side? Haha, they're just bands, man..

 

There's no option for thinking they are both mediocre, but that Metalica is better. They both had some good songs but I always felt metalica organised their songs in a better, more symphonic way (on the first four good albums) where as megedeth songs had more of the structure of pop songs. Of coarse if we are talking about post AJFA metalica then that stuff is just pure shit.

 

They were both good, now they're just unfortunate.

The only way they're going to come back into it is if Kirk decides to rejoin Exodus and Dave joins up with James and Lars, and they recruit Dave Ellefson into the fold.

But do you see that happening? Me either.

 

Overall I prefer Metallica but Megadeth ain't so bad.

 

i like them both, but prefer megadeth. definately.

 

Metallica totally blows Megadeth out of the water!!! It'd be sweet to see them do a tour together

That being said, both bands kick ass.

 

at least megadeath has stayed true to the sound that earned them a place in this comparison, but at their hight, Metalla was way better than anything megadeath ever recorded...but...sigh Metallica has recorded a lot of crap recently....Megadeath has never recorded crap.....

i love both megadeth and metallica but unfortunately as someone has allready pointed out... metallica have laid down alot of crap recently, well over the past decade or so... but hopefully they can redeem themselves with the new album

 

i prefer metallica over megadeth, even though i love them both

 

both are great. dave was once with metallica. all though dave plays lead guitar and sings at the same time ill take metallica

 

Dave actually plays a lot of the rhythm, he doesn't bust out solos while doing anything vocally.

That being said.. he's a badass soloist.

 

Too close to call, because they sound so different. Megadeath is more rowdy and has more of a hard rock feel. I wish Metallica would remaster their early cds like Mustaine has done, but it would be tough to convince anyone they're better than Metallica.
