dose anyone have any mental handycaps...(ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia, ect.) i have mild schizophrenia i think its what make me have hippy-like thoughts cuz i never had them befor i had it
You know, I seem to think everything is perfectly fine upstairs, yet for some reason they have yet to tell me why I'm locked up in here. I was told that they would let me know when I leave.....
I was "diagnosed" with "ADD" in Kindergarten. Then my parents put me on Ritalin and yada yada yada.....
"I" "was" "diagnosed" with "generalized anxiety disorder" and "social phobia" by a "psychiatrist". "they" "put" "me" "on" "Paxil". see what it did to me???
having mild schizophrenia isnt that bad...it makes me happy alot cuz i am mostly emotionless...but it sucks cuz i tend to mumble when i talk and im not able to explain things well...it also makes me have "irrational" thoughts thats y im so liberal
Well, I have a degree in psychology and I know that there is really no such thing as "mild" schizophrenia. The closest thing to mild schizophrenia would be a schizotypal personality. Are you sure that's not what you have? A schizotypal person exhibits traits of schizophrenia, but not enough to actually be diagnosed as "schizophrenic."
all i know is i got tested and they said i had mild schizophrenia they said that i had it my ive had it my whole life but i didnt show the signs till recently im gonna have to trust the doctor that i visited...but i could always go for a second openion
my brother had this very rare form of szysophrenia, called I believe, temporal lobe szysophrenia? - I'm really jogging my memory here as it was during the mid 80's, but from what I remember, it was very acute (he was in in patient therapy for six months) and unknown at the time. They attributed it to hormonal imabalences in males during their late teens / early 20's. Again, don't quote me on all of this, but this is what I recall. Ultimately it just faded away after several botched experiments on him with the early types of medications they had then (I believe haldol? was one of them). Today he has mild epilepsys as a result of being a guinea pig at the time.
Well, I'm not a doctor, so listen to the doctor, not me. Are you taking any meds, though? Sorry for asking so many questions, I am just really fascinated with psychology and the mind.
no i dont take any meds because ther is no meds to cure it and i dont have anxiety so i dont need meds for that but alot of people with schizophrenia have anxiety that is the most commen thing that people with schizophrenia need meds for
i have been diagnosed with depression, anorexia nervosa, and anxiety, but no adhd, or any of that.it's good to know that we are all a bunch of crazy people, huh?
just to clarfiy schizophrenia is not a split personality disorder schizophrenia means split brain...not personality
That's not true at all. There are many drugs that can make schizophrenics less delusional and often completely functional. I can name at least a half dozen off the top of my head. Of course there is no cure for the disease itself, but there are many treatments.
