I was actually talking about this subject on another message board. I was talking about Rosemary Kennedy. And another lady there said that she saw no reason why intellectually diabled people couldn't be medical doctors, the same as anyone else. I don't know exactly what she meant. But you know, I was thinking about that since then.

Medical doctors really aren't scientists. They don't go big universities like Harvard, Oxford or even University of Michigan in Ann Arbor (which is our big university in Michigan, BTW). They go to medical school for eight years. And they are more of a trade like an electrician, than a scientist. Or I guess they are a little of both.

But I do know, the main concern with medical doctors is that they can perform CPR, refer you to specialist if necessary and spot signs of abuse. Most of the other things they do now are handled with blood tests and scans. And the other thing I've heard about them, is that they have to memorize vast quantities of information. I guess mostly anatomy, and maybe even things like the science of chemistry when they prescribe drugs. And, I do have to tell you. I personally only go to doctors who are very good and very qualified.

Like I said, I am not sure exactly what she meant. I know people who have certain conditions like dyslexia can still be good doctors, as long as it doesn't interfere with their medical abilities. Even though people with dyslexia sometimes can't read or write. And medical doctors, like other professions, do make more money. At least in my country.

There’s a tv series called the hood doctor that is about an autistic doctor.
He is good at his job and professional but has struggles because of his autism.
I’ve only seen an episode or so .
