Easy there Ganja lol actually if you want to start a Men's Forum (your gender isn't listed...but I assume you're a guy) all you have to do, I think, is be a Hip Forums Supporter...then you can have a Men's Forum. Easy as that! And Ganja, it's not that we bitch...but some people (frankly, a lot of guys) would rather our conversations about our periods and stuff were kept seperate.
haha sorry but that made me laugh there use to be a mens forum on the old boards, so dont know what happened to it..
Oh, I could care less if there was a men's forum (further backing up my theory). I would love it if girls would stop talking about thier rags and how bad they get bloated and when thier "heavy days" are. I dont need to be informed. Its like me tellling everyone that it took 3 pieces and 4 wipes this morning to get my ass clean. (not true, hypothetical) And it seems like chicks go out of thier way to discuss these personal issues with me. I dont think I'm that girlish.
lol seamonster that's probably why the old men's forum didn't work out...a bunch of guys, sitting around scratching their balls, not wanting to talk.
Yeah, but why does someone have to start one as a personal forum as opposed to the Women's Issues, which is one of the established forums?
You know, I've been waiting for someone to start a section of the forum where I could start threads about the hair growing in my ears and I'm just certain that there are scads of men out there who can't wait to have a place of their own to discuss prostate trouble and testicular cancer and the best way to get semen stains out.. etc. The main difference is that women know that they can discuss their issues without anyone thinking less of them. Though sometimes we men might not want to think about those things, we don't/can't really consider women who discuss those issues weaker, in fact, we often give them more respect and think of them as strong advocates for thier sisters who suffer in silence. It's different for men. We tend to keep that stuff to ourselves because discussing it might make us seem somehow weaker and then people might lose respect for us (for being whiny about our "Man troubles") and we would have more difficulty getting laid because women might want to be treated as equals, but they're still not attracted to men who display weakness. If you are a man and you like sex, you have to at least put up the appearance of being strong and stoic about that stuff, hence the silence about it. Women can display weakness and still get laid, for men that's not really true. There is a double standard here.
men don't have issues. i used to frequent the men's forum. it was just a place for funny jokes and the occaisional erectile disfunction post. it just faded away.
