My memory stick works fine between my two laptops that are both running Win7.
I had a page scanned at the local library, but their computers would not recognise my memory stick. Their desktops are networked together and a modern. So what should I do.buy a new memory stick?

Never heard of a Library computer accepting a memory stick... Too much security risk. But then again I don't go to libraries much anymore.

i would save your money a new memory stick wont make a difference they probably have it locked down, id ask the library clerk to talk to library computer admin, if they have one that stays there, if not still ask if you could have some way for them to let you use it.

ask them first about their policy regarding usb drives

otherwise the filesystem on the drive could be unsupported by those computers, could be other stuff too like partition tables but it could be that those computers are configured to not let you.

It's shouldn't be a significant security risk. Library computers should be thin clients running VM's. You're right however, that is a likely cause.

If access to the internet isn't a problem, just upload whatever you need to google drive.

well ... you might be able to BOOT with one but I wouldn't recommend doing anything that gets u banned from there.

ask them if you can use their "tape punch" to save ur files lol

If there's internet on those library computers the easiest solution would be to mail the scanned page to yourself.

You could use email to send your file if the library computer has access to internet

As others have said, just upload to Google Drive or Dropbox, or e-mail the document to yourself.
