I actually think its whom Whom is the object of a verb. If you can rearrange the sentence and replace whom with him (versus he for who) then it should be whom I can trust him Not, i can trust he But i think most people would still use who in casual speech. Sometimes correct grammar sounds more awkward than the incorrect way
Meliai might be right. I think whom is used when you’re referring to an object, subject or as an adverb. I’m thinking that since you’re talking about the dad/mom then whom would be correct. Thank you, grammarly
