Meeting a bum.

So yesterday i was driving around on a jobhunt and i went to stop at this ice cream place to get an application and I missed the turn so i took another turn and ended up behind the place but i passed a guy sitting back there with his bag and a few other things (obviously a bum) and i just kinda ignored it.

But on my way from there he was still sitting there and it was about 102 degrees outside that day and he was obviously sweating like crazy, so i rolled down the window and asked if he wanted anything to drink and he said yes so i went to quiktrip and got him a Huge water.

He was really thankful even offered to pay for it but i didnt take his money.
I actually talked to him for a while though and he seemed like a really cool guy.

He had dreads to and was white. He had them pulled up in a big brown beanie though. And had a bob marley shirt on. ha

I just figuredi would share the story.

Anyone else ever met a bum ?

 

I gave a bum 2 bucks dowtown, only to see him climb in a mercedes benz 1 hr later on a side street. fucking scum. im never giving money to bums again just ause that guy.

 

I have came by a bum and helped one but i didn't really speak with him.
The poor guy that i came by was eating french fries and foood dropped in the mcdonalds parking lot so i stopped and bought him some food and made my farewell.

 

Yeah, first time I met a group of bums I was walking home from work.

I was smoking a joint, offered to let them hit it, and they busted out some vodka. Not really cash

 

Well that usually is why i dont give bum's any money but this guy was behind a business place and not on the corner holding a sign asking for money.

I wont even give a second look to the people claiming to be bums on the corner with their bitchass signs.

 

That's mean, yo. You never know what compromising situation life has put people in.

Sympathy, yo.

 

Well the guy that i helped was actually eating off the ground and he looked dirty i felt sorry for the guy.

i had one that would work for food... he helped me move from one apartment to another, when we were done we grilled out and i gave him a little weeds, some rum, and 20 bucks... it was a win win

i meet a lot of homeless people. every week i usually walk around with my friend cause he's doing a project on bearded people in philadelphia and it just so happens that a lot of homeless people have crazy beards so we usually talk to them for a while and he takes pictures and we try to help them out with any change or something if we can, though sometimes even if they let him take the picture they wont talk to us and just walk away quickly

 

Thats awesome.

 

Im sympathetic...just not to people who beg for things instead of trying to get and work towards them themselves.

but the bum that i helped out didnt say a word to me before i spoke to him and even then offered to give ME money Me a 16 year old kid with a car money...

We don't have many homeless people where i live.

 

I had a dream where I was a bum. We were outside of the city, hamming it up. But then two midget gorillas appeared on the scene. One of their heads caught fire from one of those steel fire drums bums use and he attacked me.

So sort of. I kind of know what it's like to be a bum now.

It's true. Remember though, some people have money but are still bums.
