Mechanical Colour World... sleep paralysis

I had one of those experiences that has all sorts of names... one is the devil is sitting on you, sleep paralysis... well I think this is what that was; I don't really know.
This has happened at least three times to me. The last time it happened was the strangest. I could see my room, sort of. Lying in bed, suddenly it was like something took my hand, but it was like the hand of my mind, and whisked me off to a different world. Everything was very colourful, in a rather unauthentic way. And it was all mechanical. I remember a mechanical windmill and some little houses. The colour shades did not vary, so in a sense it was rather two-dimensional.
This didn't feel like a dream, and I remember thinking to myself 'just get up' and at first I couldn't but I finally dragged myself... I dunno... back to my body? Another thing is, I mentioned it to a very old friend of mine that I like to think of as my guru (old in the sense of years. I met him a year ago.), and he said he'd been there too and offered no explanation.

It's sort of like you're awake, and you can look around but things are different.. its kind of psychedelic actually. One time it was dark and you know how if you gently press on your eyelids over your eyes you can see patterns? Well it was like that, like I could see fingerprints and fractals everywhere. Sometimes I feel like my whole body is frozen in tension, and I'm telling myself, 'just sit up, just do it, turn on the light' but I can't move. It's like my mind is awake but my body isn't.

 

i have the same problem, but i can always move my fingers on my right hand and i get my girlfrienfd to snap me out of it. its fucking weird! sometimes its like im trying to scream out her name for help, but nothing comes out of my mouth. wow i never met anyone else who ever experienced this
