    i have a friend
    her name is danger
    to myself
    i am a stranger
    cry later
    now there is no use
    take a hit
    make an excuse
    do bad habits scare you
    there my only way out
    you dont know me
you dont know what im about
    youve met the high
    thats always been around
now you meet the me inside
the one whos never made a sound
    youve heard all the excuses
    all thats ever been spoken
    now i say goodbye
and leave you this small token
so now you meet the me im used to
    the one deep inside
now you know the real me
    i can no longer hide

i like this poem, i believe a lot of people can relate i know i can, there's always going to find those who judge for whatever reasons, everyone has there own vice so who can label who's better, all you can do is continue being yourself with no compromise. a person who is pure will accept all for the way they are.

this poem made me think of a friend i use to have, i wondered a few times if i'd ever seen her sober, i wasn't judging her, i knew it was a defense mechanism but could never talk to her about it. I think you desribed that feeling well.
