I love that channel they play mash bewitched I dream of genie Mary Tyler more all the classics. its a marquette station so I think only people in the u.p. might only get that channel I'm not sure
I like that channel, too...I watch almost everything on it because I enjoy thinking of how our world was back then.
I was watching one of those retro channels a few days ago. It was probably Me TV or Antenna TV. They cut out entire scenes from the shows to make room for more ads. I have recordings of some of the shows when they were on TVLand in the late 90s and I noticed entire scenes missing on the shows aired today on networks such as MeTV or Antenna TV. They have a good show lineup but the butcher editing of the shows is a downside.
TVLand used to be the retro station here, but lately they just play Happily Divorced and Hot in Cleveland.
Sometimes you can find the shows on youtube in their originally aired content which is much better. The retro networks today and the DVD releases are sometimes butchered. The music that was on the 60s shows is an example. Today's releases don't always play the original music that was going on during a scene because of legal wrangling. They dub in some silly sounding generic music instead of the original which might have been a good pop tune in the 60s. It's another bummer to the way original content is currently being released (or not released).
