I have never done MDMA but have done San Pedro cactus many times and I get this euphoric insightful peaceful love feeling. I imagine MDMA is very much like this minus the mescaline psychedelic properties. Would this be an accurate assesment?

I'd say that's not an accurate assessment, but I guess that Depends what you define as psychedeilc properties.

I'd say the psychedelic properties are roughly equal but different. MDMA has a more immeadiate rushing type of euphoria, compared to the flowing euphoria of San Pedro. The MDMA experience is really oriented to strong appreciation of people, empathy towards others and positive self acceptance as where San Pedro is more geared towards the appreciation of nature and has a more cosmic natural feeling. They do 'feel' somewhat similar though.

MDMA has a stronger body trip than San Pedro, though San Pedro has a heavier body trip. You really feel waves course throughout the body on MDMA in particular when music and touch is involved and MDMA is the most psychedelic there is imo in regards to the perception of physical movement. MDMA is really minimal on the visuals compared to San Pedro tho, pretty much restricted to lights glowing and trailing blurs.

IMO you can't compare the two.

my san pedro trips have all been at kinda low doses but it definitely felt a lot like the euphoric warm feeling i get from rolling. a lot more mellow than mdma though

pretty much. and honestly minus the "insightful" part too. MDMA has done nothing for me noteworthy other than make me feel good for a while. Completely disinterested in it.

Cacti have helped me grow as a person and changed my life for the better.
Honestly you did right by going the route you did and trying San Pedro. MDMA is for suckers who don't know any better. :2thumbsup:

I googled this topic and ALOT of people agree that low dose of mescaline is very much like MDMA.

It's kinda like comparing shrooms and LSD, maybe slightly more similar but I find them less comparable than say shrooms and 4-aco dmt, sure there are some similarities that may make those inexperienced with them seem essentially interchangable but a full dose of MDMA and a full dose of Mescaline produce fairly different trips.

I've said before a Mescaline trip feels like a low dose of MDMA and a MDMA trip/roll is as visual as low dose mescaline. Than I think the focus of their mind expanding properties are quite different. San Pedro is like the type of quieter trip where you go out and discover nature, I personally don't find music that essential to the San Pedro experience, MDMA on the other hand is my favorite music enhancing trip and like good to be in extremely stimulating enviornment. I'm personally way more open with my emotions on MDMA as well which is why I prefer it because that's something I have difficulty doing normally.

This is my opinion about compared effects while dancing under the influence of both:
On MDMA you can dance with the sounds' movements perfectly but there is a huge difference in the experience of dancing between MDxx and San Pedro.
San Perdro is more like being washed by all the tiniest and most amazing sounds, in my one and only Mescaline exeprience I felt as if everything was energy and dancing in it felt like a continuing Deja Vu of ment to be movements, because there was no fear of not being in sync with the music, nothing like dancing on MDMA. You are in touch with nature and all the serrounding and the hearing and it's like trusting every object and every sound that can breathe now when time was gone. The sound trusts my movements and I trust the movements of the perfect sound, it's a relationship. No judgements.

Could not have said this more perfectly

I disagree. You would agree both you and me know for a fact that MDMA breaks certain barriers of going with the flow with life, pausing to think an idea over with the potential to get down in the dumps isn't an option, at least not for first-timers and people who take it every now and then. If you roll often then yeah it's bull because all these effects are gone except the euphoria.
My point is that this is a key empathogen effect that would be insightful for a lot of people who are stuck in the past, or just posses social anxiety. Precious insight of being able to see good in all that meets the eye without stopping to create the fear people would normaly have in situations. Ofcours, this can also lead to stuff you'd regret doing but I'm sure I don't need to tell anyone that. lol

apples and oranges, sure the two drugs share some similar effects in stimulation & euphoria but other than they are two very different worlds. I find cacti to have a much more over powering changed mind state, different patterns of though and so on... MDMA i find more breaks down the inhibitions & mental barriers ive built up in my own mind rather than giving me a different perspective like san pedro.
