So i was reading up about Terrance McKennas "time wave zero" programme he used to predict 2012 from the i-ching.

What amazed me was that he only later discovered that the mayans had predicted the same date for the new age to begin though he new nothing of it when he got the dates from the time wave zero programme.

Really interesting, i dont really buy the 2012 stuff but McKennas a fucking god in my eyes, kinda looking farward to 2012 in some kinda childish way lol i cant beleive its the end of the world but it would be amazing if something were to happen with our consciouses that would allow us to perceive the same kinda stuff whilst on entheogens, who knows.

What do you guys think about McKennas time wave zero ?

people often ask me whats the make, model and year of my cars.. And I simply tell them "i do not know."
Their reply is "how could you not fucking know what kinda car, year, you drive?"..

because I dont believe in time, I dont fix cars, and only use them for TRIPs..:D

intuitively, i feel he is right... i am also looking forward to it... there will never be an END though, just a huge change... i do think that if it is indeed the case, then many of us may not survive it physically, but as we know, there is more to existence than just physical reality... r.i.p. Terrance McKenna...

Terrance McKenna, albeit freaking brilliant, I believe stumbled on to the fact that time is cyclical, not linear. That's all. He's not the only person to say this and he's not the only person to say that the cycles get shorter and shorter as it goes until eventually something different has to happen. Like monthy python!!! And now for something completely different! hahahaha!

Now the question ... What will that something different be?

Your guess is as good as mine...

Any takers I'm still trying to figure that out.

conspiracy: an evil, unlawful, treacherous, or surreptitious plan formulated in secret by two or more persons; plot.

... but in all seriousness.. timewave zero could be several things.. maybe good maybe bad.. nuclear war, melding of technological advances and the human mind, all kinds of crazy shit like that... you know global economic collapse is another theory

I've never heard of this guy, i think i'm going to have to do some research. thats interesting....kinda lends more credit to all 2012 theories. I think if anything happens in 2012 its going to be a shift in consciousness...maybe an age of enlightenment. I hope so anyways..the world could really use some enlightenment.

The world could really use some mushrooms. Is it waking up to this? Shouldn't we make it? Do we really not know what the 'stuff' of life is?

    Timewave zero is a fantasy.

Meliai is right I think 2012 is going to be something like a shift in consicouness or new earth age . The planet is not going to blow up, people have been saying that shit for hundreds of years.

There is a planet that has a 3600 year orbit around the sun in our solar system, some have called it planet X, but some people think
that in the past we have been visited by aliens, if you look at the ancient world you will see that they were facinaterd by the stars, and they built their momuments such as the pyramids, and Myan temples in line with astrological constalations. I think perhapes in 2012 we will see a more clear alien presence. We were taught much by these aliens in the past, and the end goal is for human kind to rise to next level, the fourth dimension.
    it is
the dawning of a new astrological age, He never said the world would end, he said human kind would see a great change. This planet should appear in 2012

The only event that science acknowledges will happen in 2012 is our Solar System will align itself with the Galactic core. It's something akin to the equinox, but on a galactic, rather than solar scale.

In reality however, the date while predictable isn't going to make something happen suddenly. Whatever changes are going to occur have already started and will continue past 2012.

As far as Terence McKenna goes, I respect his research into shamanism and the psychedelic experience, but this timewave crap leaves me cold, esp. when you realize he went and changed it all at some point to make it coincide better with 2012. I'm specifically referring to the "novelty curve" which he predicts will go off the scale in 2012. The whole theory is based on subjective evidence and has no scientific basis. It would be easy to refute his time wave as I have already done so for my own info. In other words I reviewed his novelty "peaks" and didn't find enough evidence to support those peaks, until he went and redid the timewave to account for a few missing peaks. And still it's not valid.

Global "warming" is one thing that is starting to get out of hand. What will it be like in 2012? How much worse than this year? Hard to tell.

Worst scenario is massive drought and fires causing food shortages and social unrest.

Already they're saying this years harvest is below expectations and the Hedge funds are having a field day bidding up the price of food commodities. You can expect food prices to rise alarmingly between now and 2012.

But as for a "cosmic event", no I don't think so. A human initiated crisis based on FEAR alone will be the big problem. Don't forget all the "revelations" folk out there storing their multiyear supply of food for the "end of times". They'll be stoking people's fears like never before.

But other than that I predict sunny skies, warm weather and lots of legal cannabis! :)

I don't expect some sort of massive in invasion, the level that the alien commuincates best on is the mental plane, they often exist in dimensions we can not see. So as far as 2012 I think we are moving more in that mental direction. The greatest lie and illusion ever placed upon you is this idea that somehow if your human eye can not see it, it can not be real. The human eye sees so little of the spectrum really, and when we learn how to see those other areas, we will grow.

Mckennea always said that a great change would happen n in 2012 not the end of the world or anything like that. And I believe when you look at all that is happening in the world, oil spills, hurricanes, all of that time accelerating.

Nibiru is happening it is in the solar system now, and NASA and all the other European nations have been studying it for years.

Yes. Just a shift in consciousness out of biological necessity. Not necessarily the end of the world. There's nothing so radical about seeing 2012 as the cusp for a quantum leap in consciousness for our species. It beckons.

It's evolution. Perhaps this time frame is just a particular ejaculation point for our particular stage of evolution. And somehow the Mayans knew it. And somehow Mckenna stumbled upon that.

I posted this vid on another 2012 thread, as i see it really kind of hits the nail on the head a bit...

I agree man. The changes are already underway. Perhaps 2012 will just be a sort of threshold "point of no return", and then the changes will continue past 2012.

Perhaps not a single cosmic event, but just "cosmic times." Just a flood of cosmic-ness.

Yes, that's good, the point of no return. I can see that scenario happening. If we don't get our shit together to save the planet, there's no hope it can be saved pass that point.

Although I thought we'd passed that point awhile ago, there might still be hope. After all the past two years have seen a downturn in economic growth. If THAT trend were to continue, we might save the planet.

At one point I realized that perhaps a global depression would be good for the planet and buy us enough time to undo a lot of the damage, or at least stop doing more!
