Max Creek - the band that took a lifetime to "break big"

I guess they never got big because they weren't willing to tour, but it's kind of funny to me that now they are playing big festivals with Bob Weir, Primus, etc. and they still remain relatively unknown outside of the east coast. It's also funny that their guitarist Scott Murawski got a $10,000+ guitar as a gift (from Mike Gordon to play in his band) when Scott used to show up at local clubs and just plug directly into the PAs because he couldn't be bothered with futzing with the tone. Max Creek are finally getting some recognition very late in life, but they're playing some great shows.
