that i agree with, ive had a chance to see him live a few times and hes blown me away more and more each time. ill stick with him no matter where he ends up.
He's coming to philly on christmas eve, plus he's playing a show on christmas. That's fucking dedication, right there.
I just got his live cd on friday. I was supposed to see him a month ago, but he was ill and it was postponed till january 15th. I can't wait.
uhh...sweetie I don't believe christmas means much, to him anyway. and as to the whole being on Mtv thing I doubt it'll affect him like it does many other artists.
I just started listening to him. His music is wonderful. It's interesting how well Judaism meshes with reggae. After all, we're already used to hearing about Zion in that context. He just has a different spin on it than the Rastafarians.
however, that Dec 25 show will be over before sundown. as to the MTV. his handlers are out for as much hi-profile as they can get, and they don't care about the stepping-stone level anymore. I had to contact my Rabbi (they studied together in Crown heights) to get the interview for the paper last Oct. Turned out I used his comments from August when he read in the shul. yeah, I'm so allowed to do that....
I think a majority of kitchen guys have at least secret sympathies for Nazis. Back of the house is madness.
not really i love matisyahu, my friend gave me 5 songs and i listen to them all the damn time. comin to chicago in march. w00t!
